Thirty-eight girls were in the race selected from 11 Nations. Team GB have been sending a team of 10 children for many years and last year, the best result recorded by a top year racer was 9th position.

Siena has been skiing since she was 3 yrs old and started her racing career when she was 10. Her next competition will be the English Alpine Championships in Bormio, Italy 13-17th February. She will race all three disciplines, Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super G.

It’s one of her favourite race meetings in the calendar.

“My 2016/17 season hadn’t started so well”, said Siena “but luckily I’d had 5 perfect training days the week before in Austria and made huge improvements, thanks to my Coach Rob Bullen at Ambition Racing. It was my first race for the U16 GB Team and I’m bottom year so I’m over the moon with my results! I look forward to working hard next week when I return to Austria for the run-up to the English Alpine Championships”.
