Kingham Hill School – Talented pupils show artistic flair at School Exhibition

29 Jul 2016

Thirteen Sixth Form and scholarship pupils from Kingham Hill School displayed their A level artwork and photography to impressed friends, family and staff at their own Art Exhibition.

The school’s state-of-the-art Maths and Science building, Veritas was transformed by Head of Art Mark Buckler and Art teacher Lilly Tigwell into an exhibition space to house a variety of pieces from the talented artists for the evening.

A wide range of topics were explored by the pupils through their artwork, including purity, spatial figures and memory loss.

Lilly Tigwell commented on the work in the exhibition: “The Art Department have been really impressed with the quality of the work from our current A level pupils as well as our Art scholars, who range from age 13 to 18.

“We had a number of pieces on display, from photography, videography, paintings and drawings as well as mixed media pieces. We were very excited to have others at the exhibition to see what our pupils have been working on throughout the year.”

It has also been a successful year for Kingham Hill Art pupils with Year 13 Adrian Leung and Year 11 Issy Tucker both being selected from hundreds of applicants to exhibit at the National Students’ Exhibition in The Mall Galleries in London.
