Faraday School – Lake District Adventure

19 May 2016

This week Year 5 have joined pupils from Faraday’s sister school, Maple Walk, on a field studies trip to the Lake District.

No sooner had they arrived and they were already being marched up a hill.

The children are staying at the Blencathra Field Studies Centre in the North Lakes, close to Keswick.

Their studies tie in with their regular curriculum and, apart from getting a lot of exercise, they have learned map reading, how wind speed and temperature change the higher they go above sea level and how to compare different communities – Threlkeld vs London!
