NEW HEADMASTER SETS OUT VISION FOR LORD WANDSWORTH COLLEGE

06 Oct 2015

This term, Adam Williams takes over the helm at Lord Wandsworth College in Long Sutton, North Hampshire, becoming the 7th Headmaster in the history of the school.

Previously Senior Deputy Head at The Glasgow Academy, one of the leading independent schools in Scotland, and before that Housemaster and Head of Geography at Oakham School and Head of Geography at Bradfield College, Adam brings a wealth of energy and experience.

This week he set out his aims to the school community with a specific focus on listening to the ‘pupil voice’. He aspires for this to become a key element of the school’s direction of travel and within five years intends for LWC pupils to be the most listened to and engaged within any UK school. This new focus will soon be tested as a group of pupils are planning to write, direct, shoot and edit a film for the school’s website over the next few weeks.

Adam commented, “I’m looking forward to seeing LWC grow and develop into a truly outstanding establishment: self-deprecating, outwardly modest but inwardly self-confident, with a sense of fun, self-belief and drive that will permeate everyone here. I feel hugely privileged to be able to play a part in that story.”
