Zhengyan N (L6) has won Gold in the British Physics Olympiad AS Challenge, which is described by the organisers as “an exciting opportunity for students to stretch their lateral thinking skills and apply fundamental physical principles to novel situations”.

Zhengyan’s success put him in the top 100 entrants.

A delighted Zhengyan said: “It involved many calculations and the understanding of a wide range of aspects of Physics. I am going to complete A2 Physics and I plan to study mechanical engineering at university.”
