Trinity School’s Drama Department brought to life Carol Ann Duffy’s Grimm Tales in front of a packed Mitre Theatre. The sold out production with a cast of over 60 actors, dancers and puppeteers and a crew of 10 students took place on Thursday 17th, Friday 18th and Saturday 19th March.

The students worked together to stage a fresh and lively interpretation of the poet laureate’s adaptation of the Brother Grimm’s classic tales, such as Snow White and little Red Riding Hood. With professional theatre masks and puppets made by Trinity staff, choreography by language teacher Oliver Benjamin, and a rock sound track this show was a huge success with audiences young and old.

Trinity Sixth form student John Petty said: “Working on the Grimm Tales has been the most fun I’ve ever had whilst staging a play.”

Trinity Head of Drama Phil Mazur commented: “At first I thought a cast of 60, ranging in age from 11 to 18, would be daunting, but Trinity students brought such professionalism to the show that it has been a privilege to work with them.”
