Hayden Hibbert, head of catering at ACS International Schools, has recently won the ‘Self-managed Secondary School Caterer of the Year’ at the EduCatering Excellence Awards.

Judges awarded the accolade to the ACS catering team, following their ability to demonstrate a significant achievement in catering provision across the three ACS campuses, ACS Cobham, ACS Egham and ACS Hillingdon.

The catering team was also commended for their improved nutritionally based menus and their work as part of the Soil Association’s ‘Food for Life’ scheme.

ACS International Schools was recently awarded the Association’s Silver Food for Life Catering Mark as the ACS catering team now aims to further cut down the schools’ carbon footprint by sourcing more local produce and increasing their organic offering at meal times.

Mr. Hibbert, who collected the award last week, commented: ‘It was a great pleasure to receive the EduCatering Excellence award as it shows all the hard work put in by the entire catering team over the last year, with the Silver Mark award and new dining facilities at ACS Cobham, has really paid off. ‘

He added: ‘This award just adds to the other exciting catering developments coming up throughout the three schools. I’d like to thank all my colleagues and team for all their help to achieve this award.’
