Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy Project

During the Michaelmas term, children at Bromsgrove Pre-School were lucky enough to plant five UK-sourced and native broadleaf trees in the Forest School at Pre-Prep.

The trees were sent from the Woodland Trust as part of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy Project.

The children have been learning about the importance of trees and how to nurture them. They have continued their learning and written special thank you letters to the Queen herself.  A total of 50,000 trees were sent out across the UK and the children feel very lucky to have received them.

In January, the children received a letter of thanks from Her Majesty The Queen.
