Fantastic Fundraising from Wellington School
05 Dec 2016
Wellington Prep School pupils and staff have raised a substantial amount of money for charity.
Pupils held a variety of events over the past year, including a whole school Swimathon, cake sales, a French Café and a disco. Their tireless efforts raised £2,000 for NRAS – the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society. This initiative was driven by Year 7 pupil Papatya Kaya, whose mother Tracey Kaya is a teacher at the School and suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Papatya and Deputy Head Martin Stepney presented the cheque to Janet Wagstaff and Lizzie S
pence from the South West Self Support group, which is set up by NRAS to help sufferers.
