North Bridge House Nursery, Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory Schools are three of the group’s five prestigious North London sites, each challenging and celebrating the individual from within their unique and nurturing environments.

Children begin their North Bridge House journey at the Nursery School at 33 Fitzjohn's Avenue, NW3 5JY, a warm and welcoming Victorian villa in Hampstead, fully equipped for the rich and varied range of academic and extra-curricular activities offered throughout pupils’ education. With an indoor gym and outdoor Tiger Turf pitch, children enjoy specialist taught PE and Games lessons as well as Dance and Drama classes. The bright and airy classrooms lend themselves to all areas of the curriculum, from Numeracy and Literacy to French and Art, and ‘outcomes for children are outstanding’ (School Inspection Service, 2016). The recently refurbished library – stocked with books selected by the children - provides a comfortable environment for pupils’ regular one-to-one reading sessions as well as class lessons and story time.

Minutes around the corner from the Nursery, the Pre-Preparatory School, at 8 Netherhall Gardens, NW3 5RR is another charming Victorian villa led by the same Head Teacher, providing a natural and reassuring progression for North Bridge House pupils as they transition from Reception to Year 1.

With ICT fully integrated across the curriculum, the Pre-Prep combines the latest technology with innovative teaching methods to encourage pupils to become increasingly digitally literate. Classrooms are customised to meet pupils’ needs throughout all areas of the National Curriculum and facilitate subject specialist teaching in French, Science, Music, PSHE, Computing, PE, Games and RE. The large music room is perfect for children to continue their learning of rhythm and movement from the Nursery School, whilst additional practice rooms allow for one-to-one extra-curricular music tuition.

To begin Year 3, North Bridge House children automatically advance to the Preparatory School in Gloucester Avenue, Regent’s Park, an impressive former convent with a large, striking chapel and beautiful stained-glass windows. Now equipped with many modern teaching facilities, the Prep School’s character adds to the inspiring environment in which pupils receive ‘excellent preparation for the highly thought of senior schools that they move on to and a very rich rounded educational experience’ (School Inspection Service, 2016).

Classrooms are complemented by two large music rooms; soundproof music pods for one-to-one tuition, practice and recording; an indoor gym; state-of-the-art Science laboratories and a contemporary Art studio. In addition, pupils benefit from weekly I.T. lessons and cross-curricular use of iPads, as well as enjoying the library in and out of class time. Regent’s Park further provides a fantastic space for pupils to enjoy outdoor sports and playtimes, just a stone’s throw away from the School.

North Bridge House also boasts fantastic Senior School provision in two North London locations, presenting the ideal opportunity for pupils to complete their education within the group and without the added pressure of entrance exams.
