2023 A Level results celebration Whitgift School

Whitgift School is delighted to announce a fantastic set of results for this year’s A Level students. This year 88% of results are at A*-B level with 57% at A* or A; 50 boys out of 140 gained all A* or A grades.

Headmaster Mr Chris Ramsey commented, “This year’s cohort have done exceptionally well, and they should be very proud of what they have accomplished. It has been well-publicised that this year’s exams were going to be stringently graded, and they have achieved excellent outcomes. Alongside the support of their tutors and families, their hard work has really come to fruition. Everyone at Whitgift wishes them well on their future journeys.”

Director of Sixth Form, Mrs Faye Carter added, “The hard work and motivation of our students have truly ensured that the outcomes today are a real personal credit to each one of them, especially in this, their first set of externally assessed examinations. We wish them every success as they prepare for the next chapter in their lives.”

Today’s A Level results follow on from a successful set of scores in the International Baccalaureate, which published results in early July. IB is also offered by the School at Sixth Form and the average score this year was 39 points, which once again places us comfortably as the top-performing boys’ school in the UK. BTEC students in Sports also achieved excellent results this year, with the vast majority achieving Distinction grades and all candidates set to continue to top universities.

Whitgift pupils will be heading to onward destinations including Oxford, Cambridge and London and Russell Group Universities, as well as prestigious establishments in the US.

The School wishes them every success as they move forward and join many other successful Old Whitgiftians.
