Over three quarters of students will be going to leading Russell Group universities including Durham University, the University of Exeter, the University of Birmingham and the University of Bristol, with almost all securing their first-choice university place.

Acting Head, Dr Alison Oliver, commented, “We are incredibly proud of our students, who have excelled in their A levels this year, as well as making valuable contributions to our King’s community through sport, co-curricular and the arts. They have approached their studies with dedication and determination, supported by the exceptional teaching and pastoral care offered by our staff. We are excited to watch them as they embark on their journey beyond King’s.”

King’s has a long-held reputation for academic excellence, and this year’s results cement the school’s position as one of leading independent schools in Worcestershire.

The school has been celebrating today with strong performances across the board. In contrast to other schools and colleges, all King’s students take three A levels, with some completing four. In addition, this year’s Sixth Formers were the first year group to complete KSW Electives Programme, enabling students to select a further, nationally recognised qualification from options including EPQ, Core Maths, Sports Leadership, Gold Arts Award, Sign Language and TEFL and Digital Skills. These qualifications optimise post-18 options, ensuring all students stand out from the crowd.

Impressive results have been achieved across the Electives with top awards in Sports Leadership, the Gold Arts Award and the Extended Project Qualification which this year saw 21 students achieving an A* grade.

Incoming Head, Mr Ben Charles, said: “The academic results at King’s Worcester are outstanding, and this year is no exception. King’s Sixth Form is built around ambition, with support to take students further, and I am delighted to see that so many students have embraced all that King’s has offered them. Congratulations to all the students on their wonderful achievements.”
