Bishop’s Stortford College Celebrates GCSE Results with 79% of results graded

Bishop’s Stortford College Upper Fifth (Year 11) pupils and their teaching staff are celebrating GCSE examinations results.

115 Bishop’s Stortford College Upper Fifth (Year 11) pupils and their teaching staff are celebrating as 79% of all examinations have been graded 9-7 (or A*-A using the old system). Of the 1116 examinations sat, 341 of them were awarded the top grade of 9; 640 being graded 9 or 8.

49 pupils have been awarded the College’s coveted Ten Club tie for achieving 10 or more grades at 9 -7 with a total of 612 grade 9s and 8s between them.

Top performers were Jonah B-C, Will C, Charlie H, Samuel M, Vibha M, Arnav P and Florence S who all achieved at least 9 grade 9 examinations.

College Head, Kathy Crewe-Read commented, “This is an excellent set of exam results and I am so pleased to be joining the College at this time. I look forward to seeing these very talented pupils progress through the Sixth Form as they set their sights on university and the next stage of their academic career.”
