Danes Hill School is holding an Open House in September to give prospective parents the opportunity to meet the new Head, Mrs Maxine Shaw.
The Governing Board at Danes Hill School were delighted to appoint Maxine Shaw as the new Head. Maxine Shaw took up her role as Head of Danes Hill School in Oxshott, Surrey in April, ahead of the Summer Term.
Maxine is an exceptionally experienced Head of the highest calibre; after six years as Head of Pilgrim’s pre-prep, she became Head at Hazelwood School, Oxted for another six years before moving in 2016 to St Paul’s Juniors. She joined Danes Hill School for a Summer Term full of laughter and learning, magic moments and lifelong lessons.
Maxine Shaw is passionate about education and grew up knowing she wanted to teach. After reading Environmental Sciences at Queen Mary’s College, Maxine completed her PGCE in primary education and spent the first seven years of her career in the maintained sector, before heading into the independent school world. Maxine Shaw loves the opportunities that a prep school education can offer to children. The richness of the co-curriculum, combined with high expectations and individual support for academic progression and excellence, the building blocks for a childhood full of laughter and learning. Maxine believes childhood is precious and should be filled with enjoyment and a love of school.
