Lingfield College Celebrates Exceptional A Level and BTEC Results 2025

28 Aug 2025

Lingfield College is proud to celebrate another fantastic set of A Level and BTEC results. Our Sixth-Form students have once again achieved outstanding outcomes and are heading off to a wide range of exciting destinations, from top universities to competitive apprenticeships and creative career paths. This year’s achievements reflect not only academic strength but also the personal growth, resilience, and individuality of each Sixth Form student. Behind every grade is a story of hard work, ambition, and character – and we’re proud of every single one of them.

Results Highlights – Class of 2025

  • 45% of grades awarded at A*-A or Distinction*-Distinction
  • 77% of all grades achieved A*-B or Distinction*-Merit
  • 85% of BTEC grades were awarded Distinction* or Distinction
  • 100% pass rate across all A Level and BTEC courses
  • 90% of students heading to university secured their first-choice destination

Among the many individual achievements, sixteen students achieved A, A, A or higher, with five earning a full sweep of A*s.

Particularly strong outcomes were achieved in Art, French, Further Maths, Mathematics, and Music, where students consistently achieved at the highest levels.

These results open doors to a wide variety of futures. Lingfield students are now heading to a diverse range of destinations – from Oxford, Cambridge and Durham to Bath, Exeter, Bristol, Manchester and beyond. Others are embarking on competitive degree apprenticeships with organisations such as L’Oréal, BP, Bank of America and VolkerFitzpatrick, while some are preparing for gap years, creative careers, or entrepreneurial ventures.

Headmaster Richard Bool expressed his pride in this cohort’s achievements “These results really capture what makes Lingfield special – a community that values academic ambition but also cares deeply about individuality and wellbeing. Our students have shown real focus and determination to succeed, and I’m incredibly proud of all that they’ve achieved, and they should they be too.

I’d also like to thank our staff, who give so much to support every student; their care and commitment make all the difference.”

In 2024, Lingfield was placed in the top 2.5% of schools nationally for value-added at A Level — and with this year’s outcomes, we’re proud to see that trend continue.

Families considering Sixth Form at Lingfield are warmly invited to visit the school this autumn. Our Senior School Open Morning takes place on Saturday 27th September, and our Sixth Form Options Evening is on Thursday 10th October.
