General Information

The Cavendish is a small, inclusive independent school for girls aged 2.9 to 11 and sibling boys up to 7 years. Non-selective at entry, we pride ourselves on our high level of pastoral care which we combine with high-quality teaching and a broad, balanced curriculum enriched with arts, languages and sport to ensure that the needs of each individual child are met. Pupils go on to a range of excellent senior schools, often with scholarships. Originally a Catholic foundation, we now welcome pupils of all faiths and none.

Facilities

Our major building project, completed in September 2016, has provided 4 new classrooms, a music teaching room and a 200 seater multi-use hall. Refurbished music rooms, specialised Art and Design Technology Room, Gymnasium, Netball and five-a-side courts and a kiln. We have 3 choirs, an orchestra and individual lessons are available in a wide range of instruments. We offer a breakfast club and after school care, as well as a variety of after school clubs including arts and crafts, sports, languages, and chess.
