Maynard Students achieve another remarkable set of results for GCSE

After the success of last week’s A-Level results, The Maynard School has achieved another outstanding set of results at GCSE level.

GCSE results 2013

• Percentage A* Grades 41%

• Percentage A* or A Grades 72%

• Percentage A*, A or B Grades 93%

• Average points per candidate 523.2

Students performed exceptionally well in Mathematics, with 64% achieving an A* or A, and the Sciences, with 69% gaining an A* or A in all three sciences, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Success stories include:

Eloise Kidner, from Manaton and Kavisha Mandalia, from Exeter who both gained 11 A* Grades.

Anastasia Bruce-Jones, from Crediton, Rosie Lyon-Smith, from Chagford and Eleanor Niblett from Exeter who all gained 10 A* Grades.

The following students all achieved 7 or more A* Grades:
