Bromsgrove School is proud to announce it has been recognised as a Top 7 Global Co-Educational IB School and a Top 11 Global IB School following the exceptional results achieved by its students this summer. As Bromsgrove continues to build on its academic strengths, the 2025 IB results reaffirm its position as one of the top-performing co-educational boarding schools in the UK and across the world.

Bromsgrove School 2025 Top Global IB SchoolBromsgrove proudly offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme alongside A levels and BTEC for its Sixth Form students. The IB is a globally recognised qualification known for its academic breadth, focus on critical thinking, and emphasis on independent learning. With six subject areas and a core comprising Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), the IB equips students not only for entry into top universities, but for success in life beyond the classroom. Its international outlook and rigorous structure make it an ideal choice for students seeking both academic challenge and a global perspective. There are currently there are 103 pupils enrolled in the IB programme across both years of the Sixth Form, and interest in the programme continues to grow.

This year’s cohort of 53 students secured an average point score of 39.81, significantly above the global average of 30.5. 74% of students achieved 40 points or more out of a possible 45. Notably, five students attained a perfect score of 45, placing them among the top 1% of IB students worldwide.

The IB is a rigorous and demanding programme, and to see our students perform at such a high level is truly inspiring. We are also deeply grateful to our outstanding teaching staff, who have supported and guided each student every step of the way.”

The IB Programme at Bromsgrove not only prepares pupils for entry into world-leading universities, but also fosters independent thinking, global awareness, and a strong sense of social responsibility. Among the destinations for this year’s graduates are Cambridge, LSE, UCL, Columbia and Bocconi, with students going on to pursue a wide range of disciplines including medicine, law, engineering, economics, management, and the arts.
