Wellington School’s Class of 2022 Celebrates Results

Wellington School’s Class of 2022 were celebrating today after receiving some excellent A level and BTEC results.

Wellington School Somerset16 students achieved at least 3 A or A* grades including Jonathan Ma, Joe Woodward and Alex Xu who all achieved an impressive 4 A* grades each.

There were also some great results for those students completing their Sports BTEC Level 3 National Diploma, with both Ciaran Gray and Jonty Millington achieving top distinctions with D*D grades.

Students across the year group will be taking up places on a range of courses at leading universities, with the majority securing places at their first choice of UK university. Catherine Rayson’s excellent grades in German, Latin, Psychology and Religious Studies have secured her a place to read German and Linguistics at the University of Oxford.

Jonathan Hasnip (class of 2021) has also been offered at place at Sheffield University to study Dentistry. Furthermore, Cameron Forest, who achieved an A* for Drama, will now be taking his place at LAMDA, the prestigious world leading drama school.

Headmaster Eugene du Toit commented, “we are delighted to celebrate the success our Upper Sixth Students have achieved in this year’s external assessments. They have worked immensely hard and applied themselves to their studies with admirable dedication and diligence. We are especially proud of each student for having shown such resilience in overcoming the tremendous challenges they have faced these past few years in dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have not flinched in the face of lockdowns or remote learning, and have shown immense courage and true character in remaining optimistic and focussed. The Class of 2022 – with the support of their parents and teachers – have done themselves proud, and we wish them all the very best of luck for the road ahead.”
