Highclare School – Sixth Form Scholarships

16 Apr 2019

Any potential sixth former can earn the right to be called a scholar at Highclare Sixth Form

Under the new scholarship guidelines for Highclare’s Sixth Form entry, any potential Highclare Sixth Former registering for September 2019 admission can earn the right to be called a scholar, with up to 50% off the Sixth Form annual fees.

Alongside our specialist scholarships in art, music and sport, where a scholarship is offered to recognise those with talents that can be nurtured within the Highclare community, and, the internal ‘attitude to learning scholarship’, awarded to recognise and reward academic endeavour of Highclare Senior School U5 pupils; the guidelines for Highclare’s academic scholarships for Sixth Form entry have been overhauled and are now awarded solely on the basis of results achieved at GCSE.

Still offering an extensive choice of A level subjects, including the popular Extended Project Qualification, while retaining a tutor-led approach to learning and timetable flexibility, structured to offer the subject options of each student as far as possible, Highclare Sixth Form now awards academic scholarships solely on the basis of results achieved at GCSE. The scholarships are not means-tested but will in no doubt provide considerable financial relief to the families that benefit from them.

We very much look forward to welcoming motivated and capable pupils from the local community to Highclare School Sixth Form through our new scholarship initiative. We trust that our scholarship programme provides invaluable opportunities to individuals who may not have previously considered an education at Highclare Sixth Form as an option.
