Bromsgrove Prep School Does ‘Odd Socks Day’

02 Nov 2018

Pupils at Bromsgrove Preparatory School held an ‘Odd Socks Day’ on 17th September in recognition of the fact that we are ‘all different, all equal.’ This activity was part of the School’s Kindness Week.

Pupils learned about the importance of kindness, however small, and were encouraged to celebrate the kind acts of others by recording these on colourful paper socks, which have been displayed in the corridors around the School. Pupils were also each given a Kindness Policy, written by pupils in Year 8.

Some of the examples of kindness seen during the week were helping to carry bags, looking for lost items and including others in their playground games.

The participation from pupils and staff across the School was wonderful and they raised over £300 for Childline.

Mrs Sharon Lewis, Year 3 Teacher said “Once again, we have been overwhelmed by the acts of kindness displayed by our pupils and look forward to seeing such gestures continuing both within the School and the wider community”.
