Bromsgrove School Biology Olympiad

12 Apr 2013

Eight Sixth Formers from Bromsgrove School sat the annual Biology Olympiad competition with five securing medals.

The exam paper was particularly demanding and involved 90 multiple choice questions to be completed in 2 hours, based on topics that extended well beyond those covered in the normal A Level specifications. The exam required great depth and breadth of biological knowledge as well as the ability to deduce answers quickly and precisely.

Deputy Headmaster Philip Bowen said: “All who participated demonstrated an impressive understanding of the material involved and are to be congratulated on their results. Well done to pupils Maxime Cox and Lewis Turner who were awarded the silver medal and to Elizabeth Stone, Matthew Budge and Hannah Featherstone who earned bronze medals.”
