Faraday School – BBC Terrific Scientific
09 Feb 2017
On Tuesday 31st January, Years 5-6 took part in the BBC Terrific Scientific Live Lesson. They learned all about ‘What happens when we eat?’ and explored how many papillae they have on their tongues, which classified them as ‘non-tasters’, ‘normal tasters’or ‘super tasters’. To do this, they had to colour their partner’s tongue with natural blue food colouring, look through the hole on the card and count how many papillae they could see. From this, they could tell their partner what type of taster they were and share their likes and dislikes when it came to food! Fascinating stuff!
