French Afternoon at The Downs Malvern

02 Aug 2018

The Year 8 children hosted the annual French Day, as part of their Leavers’ Experience.

The first part of the afternoon was in the cafés, which the Year 8 children had put together. The other children throughout the school went to the café that belonged to their house and had to practise their French by ordering what they wanted from a choice of different French pastries – délicieux!

Afterwards, the children got to enjoy the variety of fun activities and games that the Year 8s had created, all of which involved, in some way, having to practise their French. There was face painting, dressing up, cake decorating, croquet and even having the chance to throw a wet sponge at two very willing volunteers – Sam and Alex!

The afternoon was, as always, a huge success, where all of the children involved were able to have a fun-filled afternoon whilst practising and perfecting their French. Merci, Year 8 and Madame Ingram!
