HIGHCLARE SCHOOL MEET THE MILITARY WIVES CHOIR

17 Jun 2015

Pupils at Highclare St Paul’s on Lichfield Road had two very special visitors this week.  Two members from the York Military Wives Choir came to school to visit the children ahead of the fantastic Concert being hosted by Highclare School on July 4th for their school charity, Ssafa.  The Junior and Senior choirs from Highclare School will be joining with the prestigious Military Wives Choir for a memorable performance.

Alison and Chloe from the choir watched the Year 1 children sing ‘I’m a Jellyfish’ and joined in with the words and actions.

At the forthcoming charity concert they will be performing an amazing programme of songs including  ‘Wherever You Are’;   ‘Something Inside So Strong’ and ‘The Rhythm of Life’. They will also be performing an exclusive song written especially for them called’Home’.  The words are incredibly powerful and the emotion is one many in the military community have had to endure with recent deployments to Afghanistan.

If you would like tickets for  this wonderful concert featuring the Military Wives Choir, Highclare Senior Choir, Highclare  Junior Choir, Mr Richard Owen, Mr John Barber and talented pupils from the school, please email stpaulsloffice@highclareschool.co.uk  for further information.    Ticket prices start from £15 and the concert will be held on Saturday 4th July at St Michael’s Church, Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield.
