Homefield Prep School – A Big Thank You From The Children’s Trust
24 Jun 2016
This week boys welcomed two very special guests to the Senior School assembly in the shape of Majorie Harris, one of the school governors and a Trustee of The Children’s’ Trust, and Bryony Eida, a representative at The Children’s’ Trust.
Homefield have been doing a great deal of fundraising recently for this most worthy of charities. It was wonderful for the boys to see what effect their donations and fundraising can have, as Majorie spoke to them about the wonderful work her charity does to help children with brain injuries.
Bryony then spoke to the assembly about the specific impact their fundraising, including the skipathon and ‘Guess the Time around the Top Gear Track Challenge’, has had. She thanked the boys for all their efforts, which have helped to raise over £2,500, as well as praising Mr Matthews for his contribution, sourced from donations from staff, pupils and parents for running the London Marathon.
It was fitting for the assembly to be brought to a conclusion by Mr Matthews presenting our guests with a large cheque to commemorate the donation.
