30 Sep 2013

Students of Leighton Park School are celebrating another year of fantastic A Level results.  Over 65% of grades were A*-B, with over 36% A*-A.

Nigel Williams, Head at Leighton Park, said, “I wish to congratulate all our students on their results. I am very pleased that the overall pass rate exceeded 99% again this year and that over 14% of grades were at A* level.”

Jenni Westoby secured her place to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge with 4 A*s at A Level and a further A* for her Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Ben Singer, who achieved 3A*s and 1 A, in addition to an A* for his EPQ, has secured a place at Oxford to study Physics and Philosophy

Jenni and Ben join two of Leighton Park’s IB Diploma students, who have already secured their Oxbridge places with exceptional results in the IB Diploma, which were released in July. Similarly, A Level Music student Alex Hall is pleased to have secured his place to study Composition at the prestigious Guildhall Conservatoire.

Nigel also commented, “It is very encouraging that so many students sought to broaden their educational experience by successfully completing the Extended Project Qualification, which we offer alongside the A Level course.”
