MAJOR DEVELOPMENT UNDERWAY FOR BISHOP’S STORTFORD COLLEGE JUNIOR SCHOOL

24 Oct 2012

The foundations are being laid for the next major development project at Bishop’s Stortford College involving the rebuild of a third of the Junior School.

A brand new building will be home to ten classrooms and a new library, whilst an extension to the main Junior School building will provide a fourth science laboratory, as well as a new reception area and administration offices. The extended and enhanced accommodation is due to be completed ready for next September.

“This is an exciting project and probably one of the most complex undertaken at the College,” said John Greathead, Head of the Junior School. “In addition to improving our classroom provision, it will allow us to remove our current Meadows Building to create additional play space for the pupils and relocate our second art room into a larger home, where the current library is located.”
