Marathon Mission for Prior Park Fundraisers

10 Mar 2014

Twenty members of the Prior Park College community are set to take part in the weekend’s Bath Half Marathon, with staff raising money for the Homeless, and pupils supporting their own chosen charities.

Prior Park College is putting forward its largest team ever for this weekend’s Bath Half Marathon. The enthusiastic team of runners comprises eleven students, including the Head Boy and Head Girl at the College, Jenny Dinwoodie and Joss Bennett, and nine members of staff.

With all staff members supporting charities for the Homeless, they are hoping to raise as much as possible for this important cause, whilst the students have opted for their own charities, including Sport Relief.

The runners are all excited to be representing the College in their personalised kit and having the support of their other team members. Everyone has been putting in the training hours recently despite the wet weather, with each member having their own personal goal for race day and their supporters psyching themselves up for plenty of roadside cheering.

Team organiser and Prior Park teacher, Kate Trott, commented: “This is a fantastic effort by all staff and students and we are looking forward to a sunny day on this exciting day in the Bath city calendar.”
