Business pupils attended the London breakfast launch of the book ‘The Female Lead’, created by loyalty and data entrepreneur, Edwina Dunn.

The book features 60 stories from inspirational women who are at the forefront of their fields and have each shaped the world with their innovation and determination. As a whole, The Female Lead project aims to increase the visibility of female role models to inspire a more determined and ambitious generation of women.

The breakfast event included the premiere of accompanying film which featured successful women including Meryl Streep, Lena Dunham, Christine Lagarde and Nobel Prize Winner, Leymah Gbowee talking about the motivation, inspiration and experiences that have shaped their path to success.

The screening was followed by a discussion panel with some of the UK’s most accomplished women including broadcaster Christiane Amanpour CBE. She was joined on stage by scientist Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE, Academy Award winner Sandy Powell OBE, yachtswoman Tracy Edwards MBE and Dr Vanessa Ogden from Mulberry School.

It was a highly motivating and inspirational experience for the pupils involved.
