Mowden Hall School – Sauveterre ski week in the Pyrenees

02 Mar 2017

The Sauveterriens have returned from a magnificent week of snow and sun at Baqueira-Beret in the Spanish Pyrenees, staying in a large, comfortable hotel in the regional capital, Vielha.

The first day was hard work, with strong winds and mild air bringing wet snow, but from then on, the snow was perfect and the sun and blue skies remained unbroken throughout the week. With the traditional Sauveterre disco at Hotel Tucca on the Wednesday night, and walks into town, après-ski was well taken care of! Everyone managed to survive physically and it was a great achievement for all the skiers, beginners included, to ski from top to bottom of the mountain on the last day.

What enormous fun everyone has had!
