13 Nov 2018

Congratulations to Bromsgrove Preparatory School pupil Amber Fennell, who on 23rd September in Peer, Belgium, took the title of U12 Lowland Skiing Champion. The young skier raced against seventy-one U12 competitors from Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg and Denmark and Great Britain and was the fastest U12 ‘mini’.

Amber has been skiing competitively since the age of 8yrs. During the summer, the pupil took part in a number of ski races and won seventeen out of nineteen races.  She won the U12 category of the All England Championship and was fastest overall U12 competitor.  The talented young skier also won the GBR Indoor Series U12.  This is a series of five races and she won 1st place in all of them.

As for snowboarding – all of the competitions will take place over the winter. Amber’s snowboarding skills have proven to be transferable to wakeboarding and she was delighted to come first in the U11s British Cable Wakeboarding National Championships.
