TASIS England – NPR’s Frank Langfitt Delivers Commencement Address

22 Sep 2017

International correspondent and current TASIS England parent, Frank Langfitt, delivered the Commencement address for the School’s 41st annual ceremony on Saturday, June 10. The sun shone brightly on the 95 members of the Class of 2017 as they celebrated with family and friends on the beautiful TASIS England campus.

Mr. Langfitt covers stories from the United Kingdom, Ireland, and elsewhere in Europe for National Public Radio (NPR), a public non-profit media agency in the United States. As the National Public Radio correspondent in London, Mr. Langfitt beautifully spoke to our graduates to help them understand the world they are entering.

Before serving as the London correspondent, Mr. Langfitt spent five years as an NPR correspondent covering China. In 2008, Mr. Langfitt’s coverage of the Beijing Olympics garnered an Edward R. Murrow Award for sports reporting.

In sending off the Class of 2017, Mr. Langfitt joined recent TASIS England Commencement speakers Lyle Rigg, Philip Hammond PC MP, and Shelby Coffey III, all of whom demonstrate unwavering commitment in their respective fields.
