CURTIS SELECTED FOR ENGLAND U18 DEVELOPMENT CAMP – Sedbergh School

19 Mar 2019

Sedbergh School Rugby Captain, Tom Curtis, has been named as part of a 42-player squad for a development camp in Bristol.

This isn’t Tom’s first call up for England Under-18 squad, he was part of the Under-18 squad that toured South Africa in August 2018 which was the start of the pathway season.

The development camp will serve as important preparation ahead of big fixtures next month against Scotland on Sunday 17 March at Billingham RUFC, followed by France a week later at Cheshunt RFC. April then sees the start of the Under-18 Six Nations Festival with England taking on Wales (Saturday 13 April), Ireland (Wednesday 17 April) and France (Saturday 21 April).

The festival, which is participated in by all six unions, sees each nation play three fixtures over 10 days. The teams will be hosted by Hartpury University and Hartpury College, with fixtures across three venues – Gillman’s Ground, Sixways Stadium and Kingsholm Stadium.

Tom has been in impressive form this season. The Fly-Half has been an integral part of Sale Sharks Under-18s season, which saw them through to finals day last weekend where they were unfortunately beaten by an impressive Harlequins side. Alongside his achievements with Sale, Tom also captaining Sedbergh School to their second successive unbeaten season, winning all 13 games in the process.
