St Clare’s – Race for Life

07 Nov 2018

Staff and pupils all took part in the Race for Life, a tremendous effort to raise money for three cancer charities last week. Boys and girls from the Prep School, Senior School and Sixth Form came to school in pink sportswear to run the Race for Life and fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Support, Cancer Research UK, Cost of Cancer and Breast Cancer Awareness. More than one in three of us will get cancer and for most of us it will be the toughest fight we ever face

Visitors to the school may have been surprised to see quite so much pink being worn in school but it was all for a good cause! Much of the fundraising was co-ordinated by St Clare’s Sixth Formers. During the morning, there were very popular cake sales. Staff and pupils all took part in 1K, 3K and 5K sponsored runs in glorious sunshine during the afternoon.

Well done to everyone who took part and for raising so much money for such worthwhile cancer charities. Thank you to all our lovely parents and families for sponsoring us so generously.  Click on our  Community page to see lots more photos
