St Edward’s School, Cheltenham – A Level Results 2018

21 Sep 2018

Congratulations to Year 13 pupils on their A Level results this year.  We are delighted that all those hoping to go to university in September have secured places at their chosen universities.  The results show the number of A*/A grades achieved higher than predicted and we must congratulate three students, in particular, who achieved all A*/A grades in three subjects.  In fact, there are many excellent performances from students of all abilities and we are very proud of their individual successes.

Given a broad academic profile within the cohort, almost half of the Year Group achieved an A* or A grade in one or more of their subjects and nearly a third achieved two or more A*/A grades amongst their A Levels.

Headmistress, Mrs Pat Clayfield, commented:

“We are pleased with the achievements of our A Level students this year.  It was a pleasure to witness so many smiling faces this morning when the results were delivered.  The relief for students and parents in knowing that university places were secured was palpable.  I would like to thank the staff for their dedication and determination in getting the best possible outcomes for our students.  Small class sizes, excellent teaching, a positive culture and close monitoring are clearly a successful combination.  It is wonderful to know that our students can look forward to their next stages with confidence; there is plenty to celebrate!”
