Worcester Warriors kick off pre-season training at Malvern College

15 Aug 2013

Antony Clark, Headmaster of Malvern College, welcomed Cecil Duckworth CBE, OBE, Chairman and founder of the Worcester Warriors Rugby Club, to Malvern College which has become the temporary home for Worcester Warriors as it gears up for a new season. The squad will use the school’s pitches and indoor training facilities over the next two months. The move comes after the Rugby Club made the College an Elite Player Development Group (EPDG) Centre in September this year. The Club has also identified eight pupils at the College as rugby players with considerable potential. Mr Duckworth visited the College to see how the Warriors squad is accommodated at their new training base at Malvern College; he was recently awarded the CBE for services to charity and to the community in Worcestershire.
