    Oakhyrst Grange School

    Our wide and imaginative curriculum, combined with small class sizes and excellent pupil/teacher ratios, enable all children to develop at their own pace.

    We prepare all children for a wide range of secondary schools. Over the past years our pupils have secured places to a number of prominent senior schools, often with offers of scholarships and awards.

    Facilities

    Oakhyrst Grange School sits in 5 acres of parkland and has a small woodland. This is used for Forest Schools activities and has our own Forest Schools Teacher to take sessions. The main assembly hall accommodates games activities with the outdoor facilities incorporating netball, hockey, cricket, cross country, football, rugby, athletics, rounders and tennis. A Multi Use Games Area was opened in 2016, to include a spectator’s area, floodlighting and a roofed cricket wicket. We have our own heated indoor swimming pool. Music plays an important part in school life and pupils are able to join various ensembles and choirs. Individual instrumental lessons are readily available. Drama and drama productions are very important within the school.

    Extra-curricular activities include, French, Chess, Woodland Activities, Ballet, Modern Dance, Judo, Badminton, Table Tennis, Athletics, Tennis and all major sports. Wrap around care is available for Year 1 pupils and above.

    Lower Kindergarten: 5 mornings £1,654, full time £3,101 per term.

    Kindergarten: £3,360 per term.

    Years 1 and 2: £3,570 per term.

    Years 3 – 6: £3,836 per term.

    All visits are welcome, please contact the school

    We hold three Open Mornings during the course of the academic year. Each visit involves a guided tour by pupils from Year 4, 5 or 6 and an opportunity to talk to members of staff and the Headmaster.

    Everyone is welcome to attend. However, if you are interested in having a private tour of the school and an opportunity to discuss your child’s education with the Headmaster, then please contact his Secretary on 01883 343344.
